Toll in Switzerland

Valid from 01.07.2021

As of July 1, 2021 the postponed downgrading of the HVF will now take in place. More information can be found here (available in German only).

Therefore the decision of the Swiss Federal Council to adapt the ordinance for vehicles subject to the HVF will come into force.A change of the tariffs does not take place. However, the EURO classes IV and V / EEV will be downgraded and moved to the most expensive tax category.

The higher overall HVC has a different impact on transport costs, depending on the vehicle type and type of use. The aim of this measure is to promote the shifting of transalpine transit traffic to rail and to create an incentive to modernize the truck fleet.

Valid from 01.01.2017

In September 2016, the Swiss Federal Council adapted the regulation for vehicles subject to the performance-related heavy-duty levy (LSVA). There is no change in tariffs. However, the EURO classes III to V will be devalued, while the discount for EURO VI introduced in 2012 will be canceled. The higher overall LSVA levies have a different impact on transport costs, depending on the vehicle type and type of use. The aim of this measure is to promote the shifting of transalpine transit traffic to rail.
