Toll in the Netherlands

On July 1, the Netherlands will replace the Eurovignette with a distance-based truck toll. In doing so, the Netherlands will align with many European countries that already calculate their tolls based on kilometers driven, the size of the vehicle, and environmental factors (EURO emissions class and CO₂ efficiency).

The Dutch toll applies to vehicles with a technically permissible maximum weight of more than 3,500 kg on almost all Dutch motorways as well as a selection of provincial and municipal roads. The toll network covers around 3,000 km.
