Inland Navigation Transport on Yangtze River

2,000 cbm plant components were brought from Shanghai in the East of China to Leshan in the South West – a more than 2,000 kilometers long journey on the Yangtze River.

The Yangtze River in the hinterland of central and western China is considered to be a major, but also demanding transport corridor. Here, services such as feasibility studies, route surveys and planning to the smallest detail are of major importance. With our extensive experience in the field of river transport in China and our wide range of services related to Projects & Break Bulk, we are happy to face any challenge and will find the best solution for every transport task.

In the region around the river, about 20 percent of China’s total gross domestic product is generated – with a positive outlook for continued economic growth. Especially the hinterland of central and western China, with its automotive and industrial centers, is considered a booming region. While the infrastructure on land is constantly being expanded, the Yangtze will continue to be a main arterial route and even increase in importance, due to the economic upswing.

With our many years of experience in the inland waterway transport as well as our specific local expertise, we are prepared to meet any challenges such as varying water depths and problems during periods of drought, the lack of space for manoeuvering or limited river navigation possibilities for ocean vessels. For our customers, we sail around the obstacles on the Yangtze River in a professional and efficient way!
