Data Center Logistics

From Factory to Rack: Logistics for Europe's Data Centers

Data center construction is moving faster than supply chains can keep up. Servers arrive from Asia and the United States, while transformers and cooling systems come from across Europe. On construction sites, every delivery window counts. To meet these complex demands, Gebrüder Weiss offers integrated solutions combining road transport, air and ocean freight, and heavy-lift logistics. Our in-house experts support projects from Austria to the Black Sea, as well as in Asia and the United States.

Data Center Logistics Success Stories

Global Logistics for Data Center Infrastructure

A global leader in power supply and cooling systems for data centers relies on Gebrüder Weiss to manage its growing international transportation needs. What started as individual shipments in the United States has evolved into an integrated global logistics solution spanning more than 15 countries. Gebrüder Weiss coordinates international cargo flows through a centralized control tower, combining time-critical air freight, ocean freight (FCL and LCL), and project logistics.

This solution provides greater visibility, improved planning reliability, and faster response times by consolidating shipments previously handled by multiple logistics providers.

Supporting Data Center Construction in Thailand

As part of an international technology project, a state-of-the-art AI data center is taking shape in Thailand’s Rayong province. Since December 2025, Gebrüder Weiss China has supported its construction with tailored transportation solutions. Each month, Gebrüder Weiss transports 20 to 40 truckloads from up to 15 Chinese suppliers to Thailand via Vietnam and Laos.

Gebrüder Weiss manages the cross-border trucking operations, including customs clearance, cargo transloading, and GPS tracking. These flexible transportation solutions reduce transit times from 20 days by ocean freight to just five to eight days by road. This ensures that construction materials and, eventually, high-tech components reach the project site reliably and on schedule.
