In the Czech Republic, toll rates will be aligned with the provisions of the EU infrastructure costs directive (2022/362), which results in the introduction of a new "CO2 emissions" category. In addition, electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 4.25 tons will now be subject to tolls in the categories "road use" and "noise pollution".
This will increase the Czech toll rates starting from March 1, 2024.
