Mag. Wolfram Senger-Weiss, MBA

Chief Executive Officer

After completing his studies at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Wolfram Senger-Weiss worked as an assistant to the Board of Management of Berndorf AG and in the management of a start-up company in the US. He completed post-graduate training at INSEAD with an MBA before taking over corporate controlling at Gebrüder Weiss in 2003. In 2005, he was appointed to the Management Board where he is in charge of the areas finance, law, investments and M&A. From 2012 to 2018 he was President of the Zentralverband Spedition & Logistik, the Austrian Association for Freight Forwarding & Logistics. Since January 1, 2019, Wolfram Senger-Weiss has been CEO of Gebrüder Weiss and also responsible for the area land transport and sales.

 

Mag. Peter Kloiber

Member of the Board

After completing his business studies and assistant activities at the University of Innsbruck, Peter Kloiber started to work in corporate and human resource development of Gebrüder Weiss in 1990. Since 1997, he has been a member of the Board of Management and responsible for the areas parcel service (GWP, DPD Austria, primetime, Fashionet), logistics development, new business (xvise, dicall), IT services, human resources as well as corporate communications.

 

Dipl.-Bw. Jürgen Bauer, MBA

Member of the Board

Jürgen Bauer began his career with Gebrüder Weiss in 1991. From 2002 to 2008 he managed the branch in Vienna. In 2008, the graduate in Business Management (BA) was appointed Regional Manager East and completed his MBA at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Since 2019 Jürgen Bauer has been COO for land transport Europe, HSEQ, customs and purchasing on the Management Board.

 

Dr. Lothar Thoma

Member of the Board

Lothar Thoma has been a member of the Management Board of Gebrüder Weiss since January 1, 2020, where he is in charge of the Air & Sea division. After completion of his business studies in Freiburg (Germany), Lothar Thoma obtained his PhD there as well. His thesis on the subject of “City Logistics” earned him a “magna cum laude”. Subsequently, the native of Baden-Württemberg was employed by a number of freight forwarding and logistics companies, most recently as CEO of a globally operating Swiss logistics company.
