This is the result of a recent customer survey involving nearly 2,000 respondents. Overall, 92.5 percent of respondents said they were very or somewhat satisfied with the service. The Home Delivery business covers the transportation of bulky goods such as furniture and large household appliances directly to consumers’ homes, including unpacking, installation, and assembly by a delivery team.

The delivery teams themselves play a key role in achieving these high levels of customer satisfaction. A total of 93.5 percent of respondents rated the employees as friendly and professional. At the same time, the survey also identified areas for further improvement. The most frequently mentioned requests were for more precise and narrower delivery windows as well as greater transparency regarding current shipment status.

“The survey confirms the high quality of service provided by our delivery teams. At the same time, it shows us what kind of information customers now expect throughout the delivery process,” says Peter Schafleitner, Member of the Management Board of Gebrüder Weiss. “That is why we are introducing more transparent shipment tracking for Home Delivery. Going forward, recipients will be able to track the status of their delivery more closely in real time, receive notifications via text message or email, and add services such as the removal of old appliances directly when scheduling their delivery.”

About the Customer Survey
On behalf of Gebrüder Weiss, 1,967 recipients of Home Delivery shipments in Austria participated in an online customer survey. All respondents had received a delivery from Gebrüder Weiss between December 2025 and February 2026. The survey was conducted by the Gebrüder Weiss subsidiary dicall – Weiss Logistik Systeme GmbH.

News,Customers,Logistics Solutions

It is one of the most important construction projects in the company's history. Before the eyes of some 250 guests from the fields of business and politics, specially designed pallets holding gifts were retrieved from the fully automated warehouse – literally at the touch of a button – and presented to the guests on stage.

In his opening remarks, Senger-Weiss stressed the significance of the new location, which is intended to deliver efficient processes and long-term growth. "The Logistics and IT Center represents a momentous step forward for our organization. We are making this investment in full awareness of the economically challenging environment; we are creating infrastructure that is designed for a period of decades," said the CEO. "The tight meshing of IT with logistics enables us to further advance key processes, making supply chains even more transparent and secure for our customers."

The expansion simultaneously reinforces the Vorarlberg location and its status as a major crossroads for the international flow of goods. At the opening ceremony, Governor Wallner underscored the implications of the project for the region: "This investment is a clear commitment to Vorarlberg as a business location. High-powered logistics are the lifeblood of our export-oriented economy, and they strengthen our industries' competitiveness in the global market."

Integrated location with optimized space efficiency
The Logistics and IT Center offers a total area of some 31,000 square meters and its design rigorously follows a holistic concept. The logistics, office and technology sections are housed vertically, facilitating the efficient use of the scarce land resources available in Austria’s Rheintal region. In terms of its functionality, it compares to an significantly larger conventional logistics area but has a far smaller footprint.

In addition to the automated high-bay warehouse with its capacity of 68,000 pallets, the center also includes a manual warehouse and a three-story office building for some 400 employees. This is home to the central Gebrüder Weiss IT unit, along with staff from the logistics and other departments. The complex therefore serves as an integrated campus that forges closer links between its various functions, accelerating process optimization.

Automation: the platform for high-performance processes
With its 13 bays, the 34-meter-tall warehouse forms the heart of the complex. Its fully integrated intralogistics system independently controls the flow of goods. Up to 160 pallets can be stored and up to 200 pallets retrieved per hour, making the center one of the largest fully-automated facilities in Europe.

Autonomous storage and retrieval technology, driverless conveyance vehicles, and digitally-guided materials-handling equipment all feature within this environment. Even before construction commenced, the entire system was simulated and optimized using a digital twin. However, people still play key roles: employees monitor and manage the processes, intervening when necessary.

"Automation and data-based systems are crucial components of supply chains, keeping them stable and running efficiently even under fluctuating conditions. They enhance process speed and transparency. But in the end, the human being is still at the helm, verifying the processes and assuming responsibility," comments Senger-Weiss.

Strategic choice of location and sustainable construction methods
The primary advantage of the site is its close proximity to the Wolfurt cargo terminal, which enables the efficient coupling of road and rail transport – and helps to reduce emissions and traffic congestion. At the same time, Gebrüder Weiss customers profit from the location which – being close to the borders of Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany – is a crossroads and interface for mainstream European merchandise flows.

Sustainability also factored into both the construction and operation of the campus. For instance, reduced-CO₂ concrete was used; producing it releases about 35% less carbon dioxide than with traditional materials. The energy concept is supplemented by a photovoltaic system that generates some 1.5 Megawatts of peak power, green roofs and initial charging infrastructure for electric-powered vehicles.

Milestone in corporate history
A total investment volume of approximately 100 million euros makes the Logistics and IT Center an integral component in the long-term site and growth strategy at Gebrüder Weiss.

"But this construction project marks more than a new stage in the evolution of our organization," Senger-Weiss says. "Here we are consolidating the merchandise flows of the region's entire export industry and providing a launchpad for its worldwide distribution. By meshing logistics capacity with state-of-the-art automation technology, it will deliver greater efficiency and transparency for our customers, thereby also multiplying the location's competitiveness."

The logistical and technical standards applied in this project will provide the blueprint for further site expansions. An additional automated logistics terminal is currently being planned at the Swiss location in Pratteln, near Basel, and it will be based on this template.

Fact Box: Logistics and IT Center Vorarlberg

Location: Hohe Brücke Industrial Zone, Wolfurt, Vorarlberg, Austria
Investment: Approximately 100 million euros
Construction period: April 2024 – February 2026

Space & capacity:

Total area: 30,800 m²

Logistics area: 24,000 m²

Jobs: ca. 400

Integrates logistics, IT and central corporate divisions at one location for the first time

Technology & automation:

High-bay warehouse: 34 meters tall, 68,000 pallet capacity

Automated intralogistics systems in operation: 13 automatic storage and retrieval systems, 33 driverless conveyance vehicles

8 order-picking stations with elevating and lowering tables and other lifting equipment

Location & transport links:

In immediate vicinity of the Wolfurt cargo terminal, combined road-rail connection

Located near the juncture of four European countries, close to major central European transport routes

Sustainability:

Low-carbon concrete (-35% emissions)

1.5 MWp photovoltaic system covers a major part of the company's own electricity needs

Rooftop plantings and biodiversity projects (e.g. beekeeping)

Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles

The sprinkler tank doubles as a heat reservoir

Subsidies for public transportation, no expansive parking lots

Sustainability,News,Logistics Solutions

At the same time, the transport infrastructure is being continually expanded, including a new major airport with an international freight center.

Today, Gebrüder Weiss in Poland has branches in Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdynia and Warsaw. Its customers come mainly from the high-tech, automotive, consumer goods and e-commerce industries. In addition to transport, the logistics provider also handles the storage and order picking of pharmaceuticals that require special refrigeration for companies in the pharmaceutical industry. In order to optimize its customers' supply chains even more comprehensively, the logistics company is also planning to expand its offer as a Lead Logistics Provider in the medium term. “Depending on how the economy develops, further locations are also possible,” says Maciej Szczyglowski, Country Manager Poland Land & Logistics at Gebrüder Weiss. “For example, in Wroclaw or Katowice, where we can imagine new logistics terminals for goods handling.”

Land Transport,Network,Logistics Solutions

This includes providing young people with the education to build an independent existence. With the support of many people, he has set up several training workshops where people can learn trades such as carpentry, metalwork and baking. Until now, the workshops were powered by old diesel generators – an expensive and environmentally unfriendly solution. This is now changing: Photovoltaic system manufacturers and electrical engineering companies from Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein have donated all the components needed for a high-performance photovoltaic system (PV). It can be operated without being connected to the public power grid (off-grid) and generates up to 200 kilowatts of electrical energy.

The global logistics company Gebrüder Weiss is responsible for transporting the solar system to Uganda: "This is an exemplary initiative by companies in the region that helps to give the local population a perspective for the future – and it also makes ecological sense. Solar energy instead of fossil fuels: a sustainable aid project that we are happy to support," says Andreas Bilgeri, Manager of Gebrüder Weiss Air & Sea Wolfurt. The solar energy system will be packed into a 40-foot sea freight container and sent on its way before Christmas. It will first travel by rail from Wolfurt to Rotterdam and then by ship to Mombasa (Kenya). The rest of the journey to Uganda will be by truck.

"I am pleased to partner with Gebrüder Weiss, a globally experienced logistics company based in Vorarlberg. Their expertise streamlines our coordination processes and ensures the solar system will arrive safely and on schedule," says Matthias Burtscher, coordinator of the aid campaign. With the support of many volunteers, the donated PV system modules were assembled, tested and packed at his company's premises before being transported.

About the project

"Solar Power for Palorinya" is a joint project of the Catholic missionary order of the Comboni Missionaries – represented locally by Brother Erich Fischnaller – and numerous companies, associations and individuals from Vorarlberg, Liechtenstein and South Tyrol. Fischnaller, who was born in South Tyrol and began his missionary work in Africa 50 years ago, has been involved in the Palorinya refugee center since 2016. More than 125,000 people live there, most of whom have fled the civil war in neighboring Sudan. The new solar energy system not only helps save on the high cost of diesel fuel but also makes the most of Uganda's climatic conditions. Due to its location on the equator, the sun shines at a consistently high intensity almost all year round.

Sustainability,Air & Sea,Logistics Solutions

So, their goods are present in numerous supply chains within the Gebrüder Weiss network,” explains Michael Zankel, Regional Manager East Asia / Oceania at Gebrüder Weiss.

Owing to its strong industrial base, Japan had developed into one of the world’s most successful economies by the end of the 1980s, and today ranks fourth in terms of GDP. “It therefore made sense to incorporate Japan and the Asian-Pacific region into the global network of Gebrüder Weiss to offer these companies solutions for their logistics requirements,” recalls Stefan Aebi, Country Manager Japan at Gebrüder Weiss. There are five major transshipment centers strategically located for sea freight transports with container ports in Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, and Osaka. We have gained a lot of added value from the company’s professionalism and innovative power, and we greatly appreciate this trusting partnership,” says Hisaya Shiga, Assistant to the Head of Sales – Functional Clothing at Kurabo, a Japanese textile and chemical manufacturer. Other customers come from the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors. But the activities of the 40-strong team in Japan are not limited to specific industries. “We also take care of furniture, food and beverages,” Stefan Aebi explains.

In year 25 after entering the market, Gebrüder Weiss offers its air and sea freight services at three locations in Japan’s major economic hubs: in the capital Tokyo, in Osaka and in Nagoya, a central hub of the automotive, aviation and textile industries. A new logistics warehouse in Dobanovci recently commenced operations. The company has already invested over 20 million euros in its logistics facilities. “By the end of the year, we will have invested an additional million euros in our home delivery services and additional warehouse space,” says Thomas Schauer, Regional Manager for Central and Southeastern Europe at Gebrüder Weiss.

Another area of focus is sustainability. For example, the Dobanovci location obtains all of its electricity from a solar power plant, reducing CO2 emissions by 90 tons per year. Eight natural gas trucks (CNG) operate on four routes for the consumer goods industry. In addition, detergents and cleaning agents are transported sustainably by rail to Germany. “Every year, 1,500 containers roll by rail from Budapest to the Ruhr area. This saves us more than a thousand tons of CO2 compared to conventional truck transport,” explains Roland Raith, Country Manager Serbia at Gebrüder Weiss. Next year, zero-emission e-transporters will also be used for deliveries to end customers in Serbia.

Starting with a small office in Belgrade in 2004, Gebrüder Weiss now employs 300 people in Serbia. South-east of Bucharest, in Popesti-Leordeni, the logistics provider has officially launched operations at a new terminal, following a major investment of 20 million euros.

“The second location complements our existing facility west of the capital in Bolintin-Deal, thus facilitating an even more efficient distribution of goods in the metropolitan area. In this way, we offer first-rate conditions to provide even better logistics support to Romania’s emerging economy,” affirms Wolfram Senger-Weiss, CEO of Gebrüder Weiss.

The modern terminal has an area of around 19,000 square meters for warehouse logistics, transshipment, administration, and favorable transport connections to the Black Sea port of Constanta and neighboring Bulgaria. Made from fermented sorghum or other varieties of grain, baijiu is considered China’s national drink and is one of the world’s most popular spirits. Premium baijiu brands are considered luxury goods and a status symbol in China.

“We have set up a warehouse in the western Chinese city of Chengdu, complete with its very own team, and developed a logistics solution designed to meet the specific requirements for high-end spirit brands,” remarks Yongquan Chen, General Manager of Gebrüder Weiss in China. Gebrüder Weiss operates 19 branches in the Greater China region.

The company’s services include storage, packing, delivery throughout China, insurance options, shipment traceability, and professional customer service. As soon as a customer orders these products through any of China’s numerous online retail platforms, the relevant data is sent straight to Gebrüder Weiss for order fulfillment. The goods are then collected from the warehouse, inspected, provided with a code, and packed up before being shipped to the end customer by truck or air freight. Many of these famous spirits are produced in the area around Chengdu, a major metropolis in the province of Sichuan. Flexibility, quick response times, and reliable customer service are crucial for enabling brands to adapt to changes in consumer structure and consumption patterns.

Traceability guarantees authenticity
Ensuring traceability throughout the process is essential: High-end baijiu products are expensive, and customers absolutely need to be able to trust that they are true originals. “The authenticity of any returned products needs to be verified too,” points out Yongquan Chen. “Our tracking and management system with unique QR codes and corresponding order numbers guarantees this.” The warehousing system assigns each order parcels or gift boxes in the right size. The customer service team is quick and professional in dealing with any after-sales issues, such as overdue orders or changes of address.

Network,Land Transport,Air & Sea,Logistics Solutions,Customers,Asia

The location is specifically designed to meet the requirements of locally based businesses in Tyrol, Austria. This will make the trips for the collection and delivery of import and export goods shorter and more flexible. They reach Reutte directly, are cross-decked and stored there, and delivered via short routes, including as express shipments. Customs clearance as well as air and sea freight services complete the on-site portfolio. The logistics company has invested around eight million euros in the new building, which was completed in less than a year. The location complements the existing Gebrüder Weiss branches in Innsbruck, Wörgl and Hall in Tyrol as well as the Bavarian ones in Memmingen, Waldkraiburg, Passau and Nuremberg.

Günter Schmarl, Branch Manager Tyrol at Gebrüder Weiss, explains what positive effects this has: “We reduce trips over the busy Fernpass road between Tyrol and Bavaria and provide relief for regional traffic because we bundle storage capacities scattered across the district close to the shippers and recipients of goods. Not only is this more efficient for everyone involved, it is also in keeping with the sustainability and climate strategy of the state of Tyrol, which aims to have regional distribution centers for the collection and delivery of goods.”

Some 30 employees are to be employed in Reutte in the mid-term, and there are also plans to train apprentices here. The terminal obtains most of its energy requirements from a 600-square-meter photovoltaic system installed on the roof of the hall. This system saves eleven tons of CO2 per year and generates clean electricity for a heat pump that is used to control the ambient climate of the logistics center. Gebrüder Weiss aims to operate all of its logistics facilities around the world in a climate-neutral way by 2030, with the company increasingly relying on electricity from renewable sources to this end.

Gebrüder Weiss Reutte at a glance

Investments

EUR 8 million

Logistics warehouse

2,160 m²

Cross-docking area

400 m²

Picking area

400 m²

Office building

600 m²

Number of charging options for e-vans (3.5 tons)

4

Heat generation

Heat pump

Photovoltaic system – collector surface area

600 m²

Photovoltaic system – kilowatt hours of electricity per year

140 kWp

Photovoltaic system – CO2 saved per year

11 tons

Network,Land Transport,Logistics Solutions

The logistics provider has been handling spare parts distribution to the Japanese automaker’s dealers since this year in Almaty, the country’s largest city. Existing services include the transportation of automobiles throughout Kazakhstan, daily deliveries of parts within Almaty city and warehouse logistics.

The Kazakh market is very important for Toyota. In 2021, the automaker sold around 14,000 vehicles there – equivalent to a share of around twelve percent of the country’s total automotive market. “We want to continue growing in Kazakhstan. For this, we need a reliable logistics partner who is very familiar with the local situation. Gebrüder Weiss has been providing us with high-quality service for more than a decade,” says Damira Alpysbayeva, Logistics Manager at Toyota Motor Kazakhstan.

As the most important Central Asian trading partner, Kazakhstan is also an attractive growth market for companies from Germany and Austria. Austrian export goods include pharmaceuticals, machinery, measuring instruments, paper and metal goods, which are mainly used in the petroleum industry. During the evaluation, ecological, economic and social aspects were taken into account, as were technical features. “This certification is the best proof that integral sustainability requirements have been implemented in the project with success,” says Johannes Kreißig, Managing Director of DGNB.

“The standards implemented in Graz allow us to set a group-wide quality benchmark for sustainable building at Gebrüder Weiss. An ideal working environment for our employees is just as important to us as is resource-saving construction and state-of-the-art energy management, which optimizes energy consumption and reduces operating costs,” explains Wolfram Senger-Weiss, CEO of Gebrüder Weiss. For many years, the company has taken sustainability aspects into account when planning its logistics centers. In future, the group plans to obtain certification for other facilities as well.

The high standard includes among others the efficient use of high-quality building materials and the use of wood from sustainable forestry. Another criterion is the property’s conversion capability: the facility in Graz is designed in such a way that it can also be used for other purposes, as well as enlarged or downsized module by module. A photovoltaics plant produces a maximum amount of electricity of 460 megawatt hours per year. Enough to meet around half of the energy needs of the entire location.
The logistics center in Graz has been operated by Gebrüder Weiss since 2021. With a 16,500 square meter logistics hall, a handling space of 6,500 square meters and 180 employees, the location is a central hub for transports to South-Eastern Europe.

Award,Sustainability,Land Transport,Logistics Solutions

This translates into a year-over-year rise of 43 percent (2020: 1.77 billion euros). More than 70 percent of this increase was generated by the Air & Sea business. The global shortage of cargo capacity resulted in shipping companies and airlines repeatedly raising their rates. The fact that these costs were passed on became a key contributor to the upsurge at Gebrüder Weiss, although this also created special challenges.

“2021 was another exceptional year and characterized by great volatility. The imbalance between low cargo capacities and high demand had a huge impact. It required considerable effort and dedication for us to deliver suitable transport solutions to our customers despite the bottlenecks. I am proud of everything our employees have achieved under these difficult conditions,” says Wolfram Senger-Weiss, CEO at Gebrüder Weiss.

To meet its customers’ needs in 2021, the company organized additional air freight charters by implementing “preighters,” i.e., converted passenger aircraft. The acquisition of the Ipsen Logistics operations in Germany, Poland, and Malaysia at the end of 2020 marked an important step forward for the global network. In total, the Air & Sea and Logistics division reported annual sales of 1,030 million euros (2020: 470 million euros).

The Land Transport and Logistics division succeeded in closing the year with sales up 16 percent to 1,277 million euros (2020: 1,104 million euros). To boost efficiency, Gebrüder Weiss deployed innovative technologies and strategies to handle transport planning, dispatch, and freight measurement; an intermodal link from Vienna to Germany’s Ruhr region was established. All of the Land Transport product groups set new records for consignments.

Via its Home Delivery service, Gebrüder Weiss transported some 1.74 million shipments to end consumers in Austria and multiple eastern European countries, further extending its market lead in this segment (2020: 1.37 million consignments). DPD Austria, partly owned by Gebrüder Weiss parcel service, delivered more than 66.5 million parcels in 2021. This corresponds to a 16 percent year-over-year increase; it was powered mainly by strong private-consumer business.

Robust market position in central and eastern Europe
In Bavaria, Gebrüder Weiss consolidated its southern German land transport network with a number of acquisitions. These were flanked by takeovers in Bulgaria and Turkey, while new locations were established in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and South Korea. All told, the logistics company invested 112 million euros in new construction and the expansion of existing sites (2020: 75.6 million euros) – the highest investment volume in the company’s history. The augmented network also required a larger workforce: the headcount rose by 8 percent and now totals nearly 8,000 employees.

14,500 users tap into the new myGW portal
With the goal of optimizing logistics processes for its customers, Gebrüder Weiss is turning increasingly to digital tools: “Expectations regarding speed, efficiency and transparency have risen enormously throughout the supply chain. The international rollout and further development of our myGW portal represent a major milestone,” says Wolfram Senger-Weiss. The digital platform offers customers real-time information on the flow of their goods and is already being utilized by more than 14,500 users across 19 countries. At the same time, several supply chain management projects were realized for high-profile customers. The logistics organization plans to continue growing in this area and enlarging its palette of digital services. “The Covid crisis has, however, also exposed the importance of controlling physical infrastructure. Our ‘Best of Both Worlds’ strategy – modern digital tools on the one hand and logistics facilities, cargo capacity, and well-trained employees on the other – has once again proven the right way forward,” says Senger-Weiss.

Carbon neutrality by 2030
The logistics specialist intends to achieve CO2 neutrality at its locations by 2030. In moving toward that goal, last year alone, eight photovoltaic systems were installed at logistics terminals in Austria and Germany. Further locations are due to be added this year. The company is also implementing new technologies: one of the world’s first hydrogen-powered trucks has already demonstrated its value in logistics operations, while other alternative drive technologies using liquid gas and electricity are in service for heavy goods and Home Delivery shipments. Gebrüder Weiss introduced a zero-emissions program offering its customers the option of paying a surcharge to offset the carbon emissions of each logistics service they use. These funds go towards supporting certified climate protection projects.

Network,Land Transport,Air & Sea,Logistics Solutions,Digital Services,Sustainability

This month, the new facility opens at the Rockdale Technology Centre, Building 100, 2430 Dogwood Drive SE in Conyers, Georgia. Nearly 20 new full-time employees are expected to join Gebrüder Weiss at this location over the next few months. The warehouse will provide businesses with storage, pick and pack, major retailer compliance capabilities, e-commerce solutions, and value-added services such as kitting.

A new warehouse operation in Atlanta is a welcome announcement as the logistics industry continues to reel from the impact of the pandemic. Gebrüder Weiss, a family-owned company with more than 500 years of history, remains committed to its growth strategy in the United States. Operations at the new warehouse are already in full swing and increase the organization’s operational capabilities in the Southeast. The warehouse is designed with 22 dock doors, Early Suppression, Fast Response (ESFR) sprinklers, racking, and bulk and small part distribution areas.

“With freighting and shipping costs reaching levels we’ve never seen, providing customers with a new warehouse in the Southeast allows them to have better control over outbound costs and improves product delivery time,” said Mark McCullough, CEO of Gebrüder Weiss USA. “Customers can continue to use a single Warehouse Management System solution while taking advantage of an additional location in Atlanta. We can work with them to split inventory and create efficiencies in their supply chain by being closer to customers and reducing lead times,” he added.

Gebrüder Weiss has a strong reputation for service excellence and financial strength as an independent, global logistics brand. The company will continue to offer a range of integrated services to businesses, from order management to the final mile distribution at its Atlanta warehouse. With this latest expansion, Gebrüder Weiss goes one step further to provide customers with the assurances they require to stay in business during stressful times.

Logistics Solutions

Gebrüder Weiss has been running an exclusive warehouse for Liebherr`s active international business segment since the beginning of the year. The domestic appliances are stored in a 5,000 square meter terminal in Graz from which they are transported to Liebherr affiliates in seven countries across Eastern Europe.

Liebherr makes its domestic appliances for Europe in Germany (Ochsenhausen), Austria (Lienz) and Bulgaria (Marica). Gebrüder Weiss transports the refrigerators from Graz to the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, and Slovakia. “The geographical position of our location in Styria is perfect for transporting goods to Eastern Europe. We put together the distribution network in close coordination with Liebherr and the processes are running very smoothly,” explains Gerhard Haas, Branch Manager Graz at Gebrüder Weiss. There, the company can look back on a financial year with strong sales. “The positive development is largely the result of high demand in the e-commerce sector. In addition, we were able to attract important customers who were impressed with our tight network and direct connection possibilities to all European markets," says René Stranz, Country Manager Gebrüder Weiss Slovakia. In the area of land transport and home delivery, for example, the company recorded an increase in shipments of around 40 percent.

New warehouse, more employees
Gebrüder Weiss has responded to the growing volume of shipments by expanding its logistics space at the Bratislava location. There is now almost 20,000 square meters more space on site. In addition to new offices and spacious outdoor areas, the warehouse capacity has been increased by 5,000 square meters (total: 15,000 m2) and the handling area by another 2,200 square meters (total: 6,000 m2). The number of employees also increased by 20 percent. “This means we are well equipped to smoothly handle shipment peaks, such as on Black Friday, and to meet our customers' expectations in terms of precision and service quality,” says Stranz.

The logistics company invested around seven million euros in the expansion, taking ecological aspects into account as well; for example, installing an intelligent heating and cooling system and paying attention to LED lighting and low-energy consumption equipment throughout. Looking ahead, the company already has its sights set on possible further growth: an additional area of 10,000 square meters is available for future extension.

High economic stability
The sustainable management of the logistics company was also confirmed in July by the certificate of the rating agency Bisnode / Dun & Bradstreet. Gebrüder Weiss received the maximum score and is therefore one of the “Top Rating Companies” in Slovakia. Under this category, the renowned credit rating service provider groups together such companies that are characterized by financial stability and high creditworthiness.

Gebrüder Weiss has been represented in Slovakia since 1993 and today operates four locations there with around 180 employees. Many of its customers come from the high-tech, automotive and e-commerce sectors. In the coronavirus year of 2020, they were also able to win a major international customer from the cleaning technology sector.

Network,Land Transport,Logistics Solutions
