New cabotage regulations in force since May 1st, 2009

With effect from May 1st cabotage (foreign transport operators rendering freight services   within a country) has been liberalised in all EU-countries with the exception of Bulgaria and Romania. It is important to remember that this is only a provisional temporary regulation   .

Special guidelines must be observed in various countries. In Hungary, for instance, a special data sheet exists which can be obtained from the National Traffic Authority. Drivers are obliged to have it at hand and must return it to the authorities within 60 days.
