„The relocation to the new building has the advantage of a bigger logistics area and better technologies at hand”, says Viorel Leca, country manager GW Romania. „This allows us to provide even more services and to meet the needs of our customers and partners even more efficiently.” The new site has about 8,000 sqm of storage area and a cross docking area of 2,500 sqm and 1,350 sqm of office space for the 100 employees. The prime concern for the Romanian team was to prevent any delays in order processing during the relocation phase. „Our aim was to provide a smooth schedule for a seamless transition. Thanks to our staff’s support we excellently mastered this challenge.”
„We are convinced that the relocation to the new premises is the perfect foundation for making us even more competitive”, states Leca. „Our customers and partners can continue to depend on our regional transport and logistics expertise in combination with worldwide connections.”
The new GW Romania headquarters remains the centre of the network for the Arad, Timisoara, Cluj, Sibiu, Bacau, Brasov, Otopeni and Constanta offices. The Iuliu Maniu site was already closed down at the end of April.
