Orange College
The areas in which the Gebrüder Weiss team has to be a leader of its field vary considerably. These range from the organisation of surface transport or airfreight/seafreight transport through to the generation of special logistics solution and the constant further development of our IT services.
The "Orange College" offers Gebrüder Weiss employees an internal further training package that provides a broad range of possibilities to develop their knowledge and abilities.
The Orange College is based on three key foundations:
Personal further training by external trainers
In recent years, an internal seminar programme was set up, in which already more than 40 seminars are offered by now. External trainers perform these seminars that mainly cover topics such as personality development and communication, and in which Gebrüder Weiss employees from the entire organisation take part – be it from Basel or Bucharest.
Internal further training by means of knowledge seminars
In each company, varied and comprehensive knowledge is available, although in many this is often not documented and openly accessible. Often it is simply the knowledge that employees have gathered in the course of their career.
The objective of internal knowledge seminars at Gebrüder Weiss is to pass such information around the company. This is why we have already trained 50 employees up to being "specialists" who pass on their specific information to fellow employees in the course of half or full day courses.
Specialised further training (languages, logistics, IT etc.)
It is clear that all wishes and requirements in the matter of further training cannot be met with our internal training programme. For this reason, employees may also, subject to the support of their respective superiors and the personnel department, be able to benefit from external further training possibilities.
