ORANGE FUTURE is a combination of on-the-job and off-the-job learning. This cross-company trainee programme operates on a two-year cycle, always commencing on 1st September.
During the course of your training, you will take part in a clearly defined job rotation scheme that will give you insight into the various business interests of our company, including overland transport, air- and seafreight, logistics, financial controlling, IT, sales and marketing... The list goes on. 
Together with colleagues who have been identified as ‘High Potentials’, you will also attend a range of seminars, product training sessions and courses to boost your social skills. These will all be conducted in two languages – English as well as German. You will also be taught negotiating techniques, team work abilities, project management, presentational skills and much more besides.
For the full duration of the training year, you will be supported by mentors who will talk you through the different stages of the course and provide individual coaching.
This communal learning process, shared with like-minded people and the company’s ‘High Potentials’, will help you settle into the orange world of Gebrüder Weiss. The course culminates in a project that you will develop together with a group of your peers for presentation to members of the senior management team.
